The NP Proton's design includes a slightly more flexible hardshell that allows the harness to conform to your body ever so slightly creating a better fit across more body types than a standard hardshell harness. It's memory foam back support and padding keeps the Proton comfortable during longer sessions and doesn't take on water as much as other foams.
